About the Role
We are looking for an experienced, highly organised Supplier Relations Manager to own and grow our supplier network. You will be the backbone of EEC's supply side, responsible for identifying, vetting, onboarding, and managing supplier relationships across all product categories. This is a senior role with direct impact on EEC's ability to win and deliver deals.
Key Responsibilities
Supplier Acquisition:
• Identify and onboard 8-10 new quality-verified suppliers per month across food, textile, and speciality product categories
• Conduct supplier due diligence: company background, factory capability, certifications, financial stability
• Coordinate factory visits (physical or video) and sample evaluations
• Maintain a live, updated, approved supplier database in CRM
Supplier Management:
• Own day-to-day relationships with all active suppliers
• Negotiate pricing, MOQs, payment terms, and lead times
• Ensure all supplier certifications are current (FSSAI, ISO, GOTS, organic, etc.), track expiry dates proactively
• Coordinate pricing updates and availability confirmations for all active buyer inquiries, turnaround within 48 hours
• Manage sample dispatch for buyer evaluations, coordinate with the Admin Assistant for logistics
• Maintain supplier performance scorecards (delivery, quality, responsiveness)
Commercial Coordination:
• Work closely with the BD Manager to ensure supplier quotes are competitive and aligned with buyer requirements
• Provide accurate costing inputs for all proposals
• Flag supply-side risks proactively (price changes, lead time delays, certification lapses)
Reporting:
• Weekly supplier pipeline report
• Monthly supplier performance review
• Quarterly certification audit report
What We're Looking For:
Must Have:
• 5 - 7 minimum years of experience in procurement, vendor management, supply chain, or sourcing, preferably in food, FMCG, and/or textiles
• Experience working with export houses or trading companies
• Experience managing 20+ supplier relationships simultaneously
• Understanding of Incoterms and export documentation
• Strong negotiation skills, comfortable having direct pricing and terms conversations
• Highly organised with a process-driven mindset
• Excellent written and verbal English communication
• Comfortable with CRM tools, Google Workspace, WhatsApp Business
Nice to Have:
• Experience with food safety certifications (FSSAI, HACCP, ISO 22000)
• Knowledge of textile quality standards (GOTS, OEKO-TEX)
